Zagreb, GUS and Jean-Pierre Dirick

GUS (Global Universal Symphony) is a musical and artistic initiative promoted and conceived by Claudio Melotto to support Art Science and Awareness, an international relevant project aiming at the constitution of research and training schools for new skilled people from any countries of the world and in every field of Visual and Expressive Arts.

Processing and spreading centre of such well-constructed proposal is Prague, hometown of the musician Antonin Dvorak, where a society between Claudio Melotto and the grandson of the great Czech musician, Antonin Dvorak III was founded. GUS had the real source of inspiration in Dvorak’s Symphony From the New World, composed in 1893 during his American stay and performed the first time in New York.

The project of a universal symphony started since the nineties. Today GUS, thanks to the work of Maestro Mauro Paoluzzi, merged two pieces coming from far different music generations such as the Symphony From The World…
